IMDifferent is an anonymous global polling platform where your vote is verified but your identity stays hidden. We use Human Passport's aggregate proof of personhood (when chosen) and conventional cryptography elsewhere to verify you're real, while keeping your identity decoupled from your vote.
When you vote, your identity is verified through one of five methods, ranging from Human Passport's aggregate proof-of-personhood down to anonymous voting on open polls. Your vote is decoupled from your identity by design — the verifier never returns your choice, only confirms your vote exists.
No. You can vote anonymously without creating an account. If you want to create polls, you can sign up using a Secured Link — your email is hashed and never stored in readable form.
After voting, you get a receipt. It proves your vote was counted, and anyone can check it. The receipt records what you voted for — but it's not linked to you, so nobody can use it to figure out who you are.
Absolutely. We hash all emails, scramble identity data, and never store readable personal information. Our architecture is designed so that even a database breach would reveal nothing meaningful about users.
